DREST

DREST are a luxury fashion gaming app that consist of editorial challenges based on real-world fashion and cultural events. Users put together digital looks using real items from the latest designer collections.

I design user acquisition content across social media and in-game marketing, which includes static and motion ads.

USER ACQUISITION ADVERTS

The aim of UA adverts is to reach out to new customers and obtain new subscriptions. The ad success rate would then be measured, and designs with the highest click through rates would be refined. These adverts would appear on screen while a user plays another game, or while using social media.

My role is to design stand out, fashion game focused imagery that explains the brand message instantly. Often the ads would display for a short period of time therefore clear, communication is essential.

I am responsible for creating the entire ad concept from the fashion looks worn by the avatars, to the general theme and layout; while taking into consideration brand guidelines, colour palettes and fashion/seasonal trends.

COLLAGE & FASHION SOURCING

The Drest brand identity includes a lot of collage - a creative, fashion magazine inspired way to showcase imagery. I design many different themed fashion collages to be used as backgrounds and to showcase all the game items and designer brands. Ensuring strong attention to detail, I ensure I choose fabrics, looks, colours and themes that all work well together, for a cohesive, high end aesthetic.

Another big part of this role is creating and sourcing fashion items and looks. Using the in-house fitting room, I style avatar looks to show aspirational examples of how the models can be dressed, complete with luxury background destinations.

MOTION DESIGN & STORYBOARDS

In addition to static UA adverts, I also create UA videos where I am responsible for creating frame-by-frame storyboards and coming up with fresh new motion concepts. I work closely with the animation team and Creative Lead to design and direct cohesive, on-brand and imaginative motion pieces.

I combine my skills of communication, storytelling, eye for fashion and creative flair to lead a successful motion design project from start to completion.

Two of my most successful video projects are displayed below - Soft Life Summer and Euro Summer - which both take inspiration from summer trends and holiday culture. The videos showcase a vacation style aesthetic, complete with on-trend fashion looks and smooth, tasteful animation effects.
